“Our vision is to change the mind-sets of younger women in today’s world. In order to bring change you must start at the root of the cause; by using a skilful approach and remaining determined we will address these causes. With our skills and influential services we plan to see an increase in academic behaviours and outcomes, life aspirations, self-esteem and self-worth in our students. Our services will cultivate your mind to ‘step out of your comfort zone’ and truly believe you can achieve whatever it is you set your mind to. Our aim is to Support, Inspire and Nurture the women of tomorrow.”
The Esther Academy was created in the midst of London, during August 2014 by budding entrepreneur Kamden Monplaisir, with the simple but crucial need to attend to her society. The leap from secondary school to college is a substantial one; between secondary school and college/sixth form there can be a lack of support and preparation for a student's upcoming future. So here we are; we came to do just that, provide support, preparation and guidance for the young women in our society who need it. Not only this but teaching core topics to expose future life possibilities, empower one another and to set the foundation of a captivating mind-set.
Today we look around and see a substantial amount of young women surrounded by a lack of positive and encouraging role models. In certain environments it has become acceptable for young girls, especially within the working/lower class world, to be average and below. Many believe they will never become executives or leaders. We provide living proof examples of women who have come from a variety of backgrounds but have still surpassed success. We want to show that you can achieve what you set your mind to. We teach many skills and provide support that some young people are unable to get from their everyday surroundings at such crucial ages.
The plan is to start small, one girl at a time, we focus on our Mentorship programmes, seminars & workshops, campaigns and events. Using these services we will reach the women of tomorrow to bring change to our society
